To our generous supporters of the West Middlesex Catholic Family of Parishes,
Here is a brief update on the completion of the Migrant Workers Ministry Gift Bag Project
All 88 gift bags have been delivered to migrant workers at 13 local farms in West Middlesex. A few assorted extra supplies were also donated to local charities in West Middlesex. In addition to the donations received from individuals, we also received donations from the SSVP and the Knights of Columbus of Strathroy. THANK YOU to all of the donors and to the volunteers who purchased supplies, helped assemble the bags, and make the deliveries. We met workers personally and they were very grateful for this gesture of welcome and thanks on behalf of the Christian community. The gift bags included prayer devotionals, a welcome letter, toiletries, hand sanitizer, PPE masks, and some snacks. Please keep the safety and well-being of these workers, and their families in your prayers. All donations received were forwarded to St. Christopher’s Parish in Forest, and marked for Migrant Worker Ministry. Personal tax receipts will be issued at year-end. All donations received in excess of our local expenses for this project were made available to other deaneries in our diocese to help purchase gift bags and for future Migrant Worker Ministry in our own area.
Thank you everyone for your support for this project!

Migrant Worker Ministry
To participate in the migrant workers gift-bag outreach you can help in a number of ways. First and foremost is to pray for the continued safety and well-being of these essential workers. Second, you can make a tax deductible donation. Cash or cheques made payable to “St. Christopher’s Parish M.W.M. Middlesex” may be dropped off at the All Saints rectory in an envelope marked MWM. Third, if you have access to bulk pricing for face masks, individual hand sanitizers, rubber dishwashing gloves, granola bars or dried soup packets (Mr. Noodles), then contact Deacon Henry at htomaszewski@dol.ca. Parishes from across our diocese will be delivering gift bags until mid- June. Thank you for your interest and support!
